a poetry reading by:
the dust dances tooi’m intoxicated by the way you drink
up the sun, with your lips, and tongue
and open palms,
the warm air fills up our lungs
and i long so much
to touch all of the places
that light drips from your skin.
Shout out to all the people who left my life.
Really though, thanks. You left room for better people, plus you showed me I can’t trust everyone I meet, no matter how close we get. There’s people who come and go leaving small footprints, but then there’s people who stay by your side for the rest of your life. I’m hoping there’s someone in my life who’s staying by my side till then. To have that one person to say, “remember when we were younger..” So thanks to ones who left, and i’m hoping you’re happy now.
